Mobility and Therapeutic Programme

This programme is delivered by a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with input from a physiotherapist and occupational therapist. The programme provides individual sessions for children and adults with high dependency and mobility issues.

Each service user has a programme tailored to suit their individual needs, focusing on the areas of physique, mobility and motor functioning. This is achieved through a comprehensive initial assessment with regular ongoing reviews and evaluation.

The therapeutic value of the programme is evident from the positive effect on the person's quality of life in terms of posture, balance, motor development, co-ordination and the strengthening of function in their limbs.

Other services offered by this programme include advice on and sourcing of specialised equipment, together with guidance and advice on the appropriate and safe use of such equipment.
