Drumcliff, Ardeevin, Coney View and Benbulben View

Drumcliff House

Situated in Gortarowey, County Sligo this new home has been developed for service users who were previously resident on campus.

The house has been specifically designed in accordance with  their person centred plans and provides spacious living areas that include a Snoezelen room, activity room, computer room and sun room.

The outdoor area has a pond, a polytunnel, basketball net, trampoline and a large sensory garden with a path providing scenic views. The service users enjoy using their trike in the locality and also enjoy walks on the beach and in the woods. They are benefiting greatly from the tranquillity of the local surroundings.

Ardeevin

This unit has recently undergone re-decoration and re-development in order to accommodate our service user's changing  needs. The unit now comprises three apartments each designed to accommodate one individual. This new development has proved to be a great success.

The service users living here currently enjoy a soft play/sensory room, music room, a specially designed outdoor activity area, trampolines and a TV room where they can enjoy music and dvds. A large part of their programme includes community access and social activities such as cinema, beach walks and shopping.

Coney View and Benbulben View

An existing building has been refurbished to facilitate the relocation of a group of service users from a large special care unit which formerly accommodated up to 22 people.

The main benefit is that each individual now has their own room which allows for greater privacy.  It is also preferable that smaller groups are able to live together. The residence comprises two bungalows with separate access. The bungalows, named Coney View and Benbulben View, have greatly enhanced the quality of life of everyone who lives there.
